Let me introduce you to my gardens.  I began gardening with two raised beds at our rental house in 2008.  I used the square foot gardening method to maximize my use of the space.

In March of 2010 we bought our own house with a garden plot already laid out.  It is roughly 25′ by 52′ feet.  I’ve divided it into 11 3-foot wide rows.  The 12th row is 5 feet wide and has our perennial vegetables and fruit. Here it is the peak of the summer of 2010.With the larger garden, I continue to use some of the structures of square foot gardening, but also have adapted to my own practices.  Each year I’m experimenting with new crops and new methods.

On the sub-pages of the Garden menu you can find more details about each year’s garden.
