Tonight’s harvest.

The garden got away from me in July, full of weeds, crab grass etc. The squash bugs killed my pumpkin plants. I’m slowly reclaiming the rows and finding harvests along the way. My early planted tomatoes are producing, later planting are struggling along.

We’re happy to have good swiss chard for the first time in a couple of years. I finally figured out that I was planting it in my lettuce row and that row didn’t get fertilized much. The swiss chard has done a lot better since we transplanted it into some fresh compost.

Tonight’s dinner, spanikopita pie.

That chard does look lovely. Glad to hear you rescued the garden from weeds.

I found the crab grass to be particularly bad this year for some reason. I’ve got to do another weeding pass of the garden to get rid of more of it.
