W.I.P. Wednesday

An update on my quilting projects.
Made Progress
Kathy’s Ohio Star– The quilting is coming along well. I have 6 more squares to go, and then the binding. The quilt has been living in this chair in the living room when I’m not working on it.

New Projects:
Water & Sun– Last week I was taken with these bright orange fabrics and the teal/ blues. I bought enough to make a lap quilt and came home to debate designs. These aren’t the colors in our home so I’m planning to make it to sell.

Here are strips cut, ready to chain piece.

And some test blocks. I have a couple of ideas about how I’ll arrange these.

The bright colors feel like a taste of spring in the midst of a week when the first day of spring brought this.

The snow is gone again now, but we’re still waiting for the first signs of color. In the mean time I have this bright color to work with inside.
