I noticed a few days ago that there was one set of tracks coming to the kale from the field behind, so I trugged through the snow to investigate (leaving my tracks to the right and left of the garden. Yes, they were deer tracks.
Then yesterday I noticed that traffic has increased. There are quite a few footprints coming in from the field to munch on whats left of the kale under the snow. I hope they’ll forget that they can find dinner here by the spring.
I hate to say it but chances are they won’t.
