W.I.P Wednesday

It’s been two months since I updated on my all my W.I.P.

There have been quite a few finishes on the list since then.
A Dresden plate, Chevron Baby Quilt & Blue Collar Baby
Blue Collar Baby
A commissioned Jean quilt
Red Jean Quilt
A pink and green star baby quilt

I’ve also finished all my handmade Christmas gifts except for the second sock in a pair for my husband. I’ll share photos of these at the end of the month after they’ve been given.

There are two quilts still in progress that were on my list back then.

My Eleven Year Quilt is finally getting more attention. I now have 15 out of 18 squares quilted and 2 out of 10 setting triangles. I may finish quilting by the end of the year!

I also am making more progress on my Batik Granny Squares. It seems like most people who started making this quilt back in the spring have long finished theirs. Mine was a leader-ender project while I worked on other things. I cut out and sorted stacks of squares, pinning them together and have been slowly making the squares as I did other things. Last week with no other projects calling, I sat down and did the last 9 squares. Then I spent an hour arranging them on the floor. This will be a twin quilt. Please excuse the poor indoor lighting.
Granny Squares layout
Now that I have a layout I have them labeled and stacked in rows. So far I’ve pieced 4 rows with the sashing between the blocks.

New Projects:
I began a Blue & White Irish Chain this week. This will be scrappy blues, with kona white and will be a lap size.

The Stats for November & December:
Finished: Lots!
In Progress: 2 (Eleven Year Quilt, Batik Granny Squares)
New Projects: 1 (Blue & White Irish Chain)

the batik granny is really nice and it looks like all that time with layout is paying off with a good balance of color
