I’ve returned to quilting on my Eleven Year Quilt, read more about it’s history here. It was pushed back in line this fall as other projects took precedence, but now with no other quilts to work on and most Christmas gifts done, I have time to sit by the fire and slowly work on the quilting. Here’s one square.
This weekend I spread it out on the bed to see how it’s looking and it’s encouraging to see so many squares done. I have
five (now 4!) of the 18 squares left to go.
I also decided what I’ll do in the setting triangles. I’m doing a larger version of the feathered pattern that is in the center of each star. I’ll also do some echo quilting in the remaining light blue section, but that isn’t done yet in this photo. There are 10 setting triangles and I’ve done
one (now 1 1/2).
I may not quite finish this quilt by the end of the year, but I’m motivated by getting much closer.
