Pink & Green Stars

This Friday’s finish is another baby quilt, for a baby shower this Sunday. It’s nice to be able to show a finish when most of my other projects are under wraps until Christmas.

This baby quilt uses the Star quilt block that our local quilt group uses to make comfort quilts. The nice thing about this block is that you don’t risk losing the points of the stars when you square up the blocks.

I stitched ‘in the ditch’ around each block with the machine, and then hand-quilted inside and outside each star, along with a square in the center.

It measures 30″ by 40″. The backing is the pink circle print, and the binding is a green polka dot, both of which are used in the front blocks.

Beautiful work. I just love the colors. Had a peek on etsy for a full size one for me but no cigar. (ps. those mesh bags are a wonderful idea!)
