Fall Harvests

Here are some of the harvest from the last two weeks.

The last of the carrots.

The garden has kale, leeks, cutting celery, cabbage & brussels sprouts. There are also greens that are planted in the hoop frame and cold frame for overwintering. There is straw on the garlic in the front and the asparagus & strawberry bed in the back.

There is rye grass as a cover crop, and the broccoli has been left to flower and be chicken greens over the next month.

Beautiful savoy cabbage. I’ve yet to grow one. I usually stick to the smooth kind as they grow better for me.

Thanks, the cabbage is rather small but they did better than the red cabbage where I usually only get 1/3 of them to form heads.
