Harvest Monday

This week we enjoyed the first of our sweet corn.

The tomato harvest is picking up.

I finally updated my harvest total for the year. I’m quite behind last year. I haven’t been keeping up with succession plantings and I didn’t plant as many cucumbers as last year. I’m not sure if I’ll even have enough to make bread and butter pickles!

Harvest this week: 24.5 lbs
Harvest this year: 89.25 lbs

That corn looks perfect. I hope I get some more perfect ears, but even the not so perfect ones picked yesterday were good. You can’t beat having fresh corn.

That is really a perfect corn! And the rest of the harvest is very colorful and yummy looking.

What a beautiful and colorful harvest. Love the eggs in the basket too.

That is some beautiful corn! Maybe next year mine will be nice! I have a hard time getting to successions too, with the dry heat in July & early Aug. But we got some nice rain and it’s cooled off a bit; hoping it stays that way; lovely harvest
