This quilt is the fraternal twin to Planes, Trains & Automobiles Quilt. When I started that quilt, I made these squares as well, but when I laid them out together, it was too busy. So these were set aside as the beginning of another quilt.
I pulled them out and decided that they needed more borders, so white increased the size of each square so that they could fit together in alternating orientations. I also added a varied colored border.
I machine quilted in the white section, and inside the print blocks. In blocks with solid centers, I hand quilted cars.
The back has a road and the fun dogs in pick up trucks fabric.
It measures 33 by 41″ and is for a cousin who is due this month.
