Quilted Table Runner

I made this table runner as a wedding shower gift.
It’s made with three Arkansas Traveler blocks, from the Summer Sampler Series.

In the setting triangles I used my new favorite marking pen, the Pilot Frixion Pen, which erases with the heat of the iron to draw feather patterns and quilt them. I’d used fading pens before but they would always fade before I finish. This way I drew all four repeats of the feather pattern on with my template and quilted them. When I was done, a hot iron removed all the marks.
I hand quilted around each of the diamonds in the blocks and in the gray diagonal sashing.

The back is this fun gray hounds tooth print.

The runner measures 20″ by 61″.

That’s really neat. Did the bride to be like it? How did you choose the colors?

They had gray & red napkins on their registry. However, when I went to buy fabric I couldn’t find any reds that went well with the gray so I went with gray and yellow.

And the bride did like it :)

That is absolutely beautiful! I just love gray and yellow or gray and pink together.
