What progress have I made on my sewing projects in the last two weeks?
Finished: Very close to finished with both the Table Runner and Dresden Wedding Quilt, but not quite there.
Table Runner: This was a new project in the past two weeks, as a quick gift for a wedding shower. I used the Arkansas Traveler Block from the Summer Sampler Series. I made it three times and set on point with triangles filling in the rest. I hand quilted it (hard to see in this light) and all that’s left is to sew the binding on the back.
Dresden Wedding Quilt: I finished quilting this! It was my goal to finish quilting by the end of April and I did it. The binding is on the front and just needs to be hand-sewn to the back.
Sampler Quilt: 18/20 squares finished. I only made one more square for this quilt in the last two weeks, but I’m very happy with it. It’s the flying geese block and I was worried I wouldn’t have enough of the ivory fabric to paper piece this block. Now I just need to finish hand-sewing my block of hexagons, and sew one other block.
Granny Squares: I bought more bright fabric for this quilt this past weekend while away at our church’s women’s retreat. I’m up to 28 out of 63 squares sewn for this twin quilt. I want to take a photo of each one and combine them in Photoshop, but I’m waiting for a sunny day with good light.
