The increasing sun means an increase in our greens we can harvest. We had fresh salads three times last week. Here are the harvests, each of about 4 oz of greens. The greens all overwintered in the cold frame and include clayonia, mache, winter lettuce mix, mizuna & mustard greens. In the second photo I also picked some of the early sorrel leaves.

Year to date harvest: .78 lbs
Eggs this week: 18
Eggs in March: 78
Eggs this year: 254

So pretty. I love all the mixed greens you have.
I’ve become addicted to homegrown salad, full of flavor that I don’t need dressing, just a couple of marinated olives and a drizzle of the marinade, that I can’t stand to eat out!
A mixed fresh greens salad is like a tonic for the winter weary gardener’s soul. Something truly magical about how good it tastes.
What a wonderful variety of greens! Gorgeous!
I love the colorful greens too. I am hoping to find a way to grow a few over the summer even though it is so hot here all the time.
