First Seedlings

The first sprouts of the year are always a cause of celebration.
Swiss chard & arugula,

and Carmen peppers.

It’s great to see the green starting. Last week the garden looked like this. Now there is no snow at all, just some ice in the paths. Maybe it will be an early spring.

I’m amazed to see that your garden is snowless already. (You’re not that far away from me). Must be thrilling to know you’ll be planting out soon !

We really had very little snow this year. In fact the most snow covered picture I have of the garden is from our late-October snow storm. I’ve missed cross country skiing, but at this point it would be exciting to get the garden in early.

So nice to see seeds sprouting. We have only a few inches of snow still on the ground here in Maine. The garden is still covered but there are bare spots here and there around the yard.

I am with you….I think spring will come soon this year.

It won’t be long before you’re putting peas in the ground. I should think about doing that soon too.

I love when the little seedlings pop up. And it certainly seems like spring here. The bike has even come out. So strange.

How I wish I had a garden that big! Good luck with all your little seedlings!
