2011 Quilts & Sewing Projects

I always enjoy making collages of the projects from the last year. On this last day of 2011 I’ve only had a chance to sit down and make these two collages. I’d like to make ones of harvests and the garden sometime next week.

These collages make me realize how much I’ve accomplished and reflect on how my creative habits change and grow. This year I had to make two collages since I made so many more projects.

The first collage is of the quilts and quilted wall hangings I made. I finished my Christmas Tree skirt, and made two baby quilts, eleven wall hangings, one queen sized quilt, and three lap quilts. I wrote in last year’s summary that I hoped to finish the Christmas tree skirt, and do a quilt for our bed. I did both and much more!

The second collage is of all the other things I made. There isn’t as much knitting in there as in the past years, just one baby sweater and a couple pairs of socks. Instead I did a lot of sewing. It’s not all shown, but I made over 12 sewing & knitting kits, over 35 sets of mesh produce bags. I also made pillow covers, decorative birds, iPhone cases and ornaments.

It’s been a productive year!
You can see my 2010 collage here, and my 2009 collage here.

Happy New Year!

Wow, you really did a lot of sewing this year! Everything is absolutely lovely Emily. You have inspired me to start quilting again this winter. I so so love the batiks quilt! As soon as Christmas is cleaned up, I’m making that quilt for our bed.

    Happy New Year!
