Maine Photos

As promised, here are some of the photos from our week in Maine. We stayed in Bass Harbor, on Mt. Desert Island. The first evening the sea was pink.

We did the Acadia Park Loop Road and visited Bar Harbor on a grey days early in the week.

For the rest of the time we stayed on the western side of the island. We drove by this marsh view often and finally stopped to photograph it on a blue sky day.

We walked to the Bass Harbor Head Light House and hiked some of the near-by shore trails.

We hiked Beech Mountain for a view of Long Pond.

We took a boat tour to the Cranberry Islands with a view here of the Bear Island Lighthouse.

And here a view looking back at the peaks of Mt. Desert Island.

We enjoyed seafood from a wharf down the street almost every night. Next week I’ll share the recipe for what became of these lobsters.

And we enjoyed a spectacular sunset as the clouds lifted on Tuesday night. I’ll post more photos of it tomorrow since this post is photo heavy as it is. Here’s a foretaste.

And here’s the link to the next post.
