Harvest Monday 8/15

The harvests are getting more colorful this week.
Cherry tomatoes, black prince tomato, potatoes, green beans

These cucumbers quickly became pickles and relish.

I needed a few onions for the pickling process. These are a much better size than the red onions.

Pizza toppings: basil, hungarian wax and carmen sweet peppers, small zucchini and the first striped roman tomato.

Broccoli shoots, first amish paste tomatoes, black prince, sungolds, carmen pepper, cayenne pepper.

A small head of cabbage, patty pan squash, beans, cherry tomatoes and another amish paste and cucumbers.

I harvested the rest of my Irish cobbler potatoes and some more red-fingerling. The Irish cobblers didn’t do as well as last year and died back. Yet when I dug them up,there were little marble sized potatoes that hadn’t developed. The total potato harvest this week was over 4.5 lbs.
Harvest this week: 16.2 lbs
Harvest this year: 93 lbs

    Great harvests! I never thought to do Relish with some of my cucs! DUH!!
